He attended school at Mount Vernon. He moved to Abilene in 1945 from Breckenridge.
He was a line driver at Merchants Fast Motor Lines for 32 years and received numerous safe driving awards from the company.
He was a member of Elmwood West United Methodist Church and Bacon Sunday School class.
