About Samuel (Simon) Robinson (Rivenzon)

Sam arrived to the U.S.A. from Focani Romania when he was 2 years old.

My Father was a very quiet man and I guess in that way I imitated him.

When my Father said something it was no B.S.

He was a very hard worker and when he spoke you believed him because he just didn't speak for the hell of it.

He was a smart young fellow because he went to Stuyvesant H.S. and you had to have something on the ball to be allowed to go to this school.

I can remember as a kid my Father taking me to Bronx. park and zoo, to the fights, wrestling matches, bike rides and fishing and I enjoyed all these things but I gave up on fishing when a fish hook went into the side of my hand .

I never went back fishing again. He smoked cigarettes I guess until he died

He was gassed in W.W.1 and it started to trouble him later on in life till eventually it took his life around the age of 51 which is quite young by today's standards.

He was I think a tough guy and was not afraid of other men and I saw him stand up for his family which was his life. He was not a demonstrative man but one knew his love for his wife and kids and no one better take advantage of them because he would fight them till he won. He was a quiet but good man and I miss him.

He opened appetizing store that went bankrupt,

He worked in the dress line at Simon Akerman

He was a clerk at selective service.

He Liked to go fishing.
