"Rockford - Samuel O. Sell, 87, of Rt. 3, Rockford, died at 7:35 p. m. Tuesday in Van Wert County Hospital where he had been a patient for eight days.

He was born Oct. 9, 1886, near Rockford, a son of Charles and Mary (Vian) Sell.

He first married Zelma Boice. She died in 1947. In 1953 he married Bertha (Armstrong) Siebert, who survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Robert of Rockford, Carl of Grand Canyon, Loyle of Wapakoneta, and Paul of Bluffton; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Smith of Edon; four brothers, Sherman and Dillen, both of Rockford, Thomas of St. Marys and Grover of Florida; a sister Mrs. Arminta Hardin of Rockford; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was a retired farmer and a 60-year member of Otterbein United Brethren Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Friday in the church with the Rev. Dwight Boice officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home after 2 p. m. Thursday."
