"...was born, probably about the year 1657. He was the heir first named in his father's will in 1681... He probably married and resided in or near Newport, Rhode Island."
2. From Giles Slocum's will: "Item I doe give & beequeath unto my Louving sonn Samuell Slocume five shillings in Lawfull monyes of New England."
