Samuel owned the largest store on the main street of Zdar and was the distributer to stores in the area. Store included gas station. Was one of the wealthiest people in Zdar.

Samuel Married two sisters. After the death of his first wife Franziska nee Lederer he married her younger sister Louise nee Lederer.
