About Samuel K. Yoder
- Grandfather Samuel K. was a medium built person, had a high pitched voice and a good sense of humor. He was always cheerful. He was very industrious, since the custom for the father was to purchase farms for the family members. At one time he owned four farms and served as a public school director. When his daughter Katie married in 1919 and took over the Yoder homestead, he then moved to the small property that his mother Katie had once owned. In 1947, he died while he was riding in his buggy from Allensville to his home. He had served in the ministry for 52 years. (Percy Yoder grandson) - He had a heart attack as he was on his way to the store and fell from his buggy to the road.* Reference: RootsWeb's WorldConnect - SmartCopy: Aug 26 2017, 12:12:46 UTC
