Sandra Hersh Sime BOSTON, Mass. -- Sandra Hersh Sime, formerly of Saco, passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, 2009, in Boston, Mass., surrounded by her loved ones. Sandy was born on May 10, 1947, in Biddeford, the daughter of Harry and Evelyn Wolfe Zaitlin. Sandy graduated from Thornton Academy in 1965, where she was a majorette and then from Fisher College in Boston. After her children had grown, Sandy became a highly respected and successful real estate agent. She married her beloved, Larry Sime on July 24, 1999. Sandy was the central part of a very loving immediate and extended family. Her bubbly and inclusive personality endeared her to a large circle of family and friends. She was selfless and tireless in spreading love and concern for others, even in the face of her greatest challenges. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. Sandy enjoyed returning to Maine frequently for family events, lobsters, Rapid Rays hot dogs, and pier french fries. Her father Harry predeceased her in 2004. She is survived by her mother Evelyn of Boca Raton Fla.; husband Larry Sime of Littleton, Mass.; daughter Emily Hersh and son-in-law Ben Brenneman of Austin, Texas, and son Adam Hersh and daughter-in-law Dawn Le of Cambridge, Mass. She is also survived by brothers David and Michael Zaitlin; and sisters-in-law Dee Dee and Diane Zaitlin all of Saco; aunts Marilyn Stevenson of Boca Raton, Fla., Dorothy Cooper of West Hartford, Conn., and Elizabeth Levinsky of Portland; and many loving cousins. Sandy's family would be honored to have family and friends join them to remember her on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., at Temple Beth Elohim, 133 Prospect St., Acton, Mass.
