Biography

Sar[ah] Mirrick married John Atkinson on April 27, 1664 in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts.[1]

Research Notes

Her name is spelled various ways, including: Merrick, Mirrick, Myrick, Meyrick, etc. Merrick is the spelling used by Robert C. Anderson in his "Great Migration' series.

There was a Sarah Merrick born on May 9, 1643 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts whose father is given as Thomas.[2] Whether this is the same Sarah is doubtful. The age is appropriate but the geographical location (a separation of 100 miles or so) makes it unlikely, in an age where travel was difficult.
