Sarah Benesch

MRS. SARAH BENESCH DIES AT AGE OF 105" (95) Mrs. Sarah Benesch died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Johanna Levy, 897 North Howard street. Mrs. Benesch was 105 years old. She belonged to an Austrian family allied for a long time with European mercantile and commercial businesses. Thirty-eight years ago Mrs. Benesch came to this country from Prague, following the death of her husband, Elias Benesch. She had been living with Mrs. Levy ever since. Until a month ago Mrs. Benesch had full possession of all her faculties. A member of Oheb Shalom Congregation, Mrs. Benesch was prominent in Jewish and Christian charities. She leaves two other daughters, Miss Fannie Benesch and Mrs. M. Hajek; two sons, Moritz Benesch and Ignatz Benesch; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Levy at 11 A.M. Monday. The Rev. Dr. William Rosenau will conduct the services. Burial will be in Hebrew Friendship Cemetery.
