About Sarah Ellyson Parsons Bolling
Sarah Ellyson Woodson, a member of Curles Meeting of Friends was disowned in 1771 for marrying Clark out of unity. Her parents did not consent to the marriage.
Biography
Sarah Ellyson Woodson was born in 1749. She was the daughter of Charles Woodson and Agnes Parsons, his second wife and also the widow Richardson.[1]
Sarah married:[1] 1.Capt James Clark, about 1771. 2.Archibald Bolling, married 29 Aug 1802 (no children).
Through letters written by Judge Barton Bates of Missouri to Mrs MC Benagh it is learned that before the Revolutionary War begun Sarah Woodson was taken to Scotland by her husband Capt James Clark who was an English naval officer or shipmaster.[1]
