Obituary.

MRS S. COLLINS,

It is with deep regret we havo to record the decease of Mrs Collins, senr., of " Collinwood," Rangitikei Line, relict of the lato Mr E. W. Collins, at hallpast ono this morning. The deceased lady, who was invalided for several months past, bore her sufferings with perfect patience and with groat fortitude and resignation. Mrs Collins was tho daughter .of the lato Mr Isaac Lovelock and sister of Mr I. W. Lovelock, of Rangitikei Line. Born in Kent, England, on October 9th., 1830, she with her parents landed in 1840, in Welling ton, from the " Bolton," tho first shipto moor at the Te Aro landing place. Since that time tho deceased lady has spent her life in the colony. With her husband, the late Mr E. W. Collins, she lived for many years at the well-known. " Tamamu" estate, near Waipawa. Removing from thence in 1878, they cast their lot in the Manawatu. Here they soon gathered an extensive circlo of friends and with true hospitality aud generosity wow the esteem and regard of all who know them. Tbe deceased lady won the affection of all by her sympathy and her kindness to all who wero in distress, and the sad news of her death this morning fills many hearts with doep sadness for one who was so well respected and admired, and deep sympathy is felt for the family in their bereavement. A family of six married daughters and two sons are left to mourn thoir loss of a fond and loving mother —namely, Mrs J. H. Weaver, Napier ; Mrs H. A. Hill. Colytou ; Mrs J. Bell, Palmerston North; Mrs G. Tronson, Napier; Mrs H Cowper, Palmerston North ; Mrs E. Browne, Palmerston North; Mr E. W. Collins, Rangitikei Line; Mr ,1. G. Collins, Rangitikei Line.
