Sudden Death.
MRS. LAWRENCE DALEY DIED FROM EFFECTS OF A PARALETIC STROCK.

Mrs. Lawrence Daley suddenly died at her home, on North Choctaw, yesterday morning, at 10:30 from a stroke of paralysis. Up to just a few minutes before the time of her death she was in the best of health and no indication of illness whatever.
The news announcing her death was a great shock to the community and their many friends extend heartfelt sympathy to the husband and children. She was 56 years of age, and has always been a devoted member of the Catholic church. She was born in Corsuca, Jefferson county, Pennsylvania. The early part of her life was passed on the farm. Her maiden name was Sarah Jane Burgoon and was married to Mr. Lawrence Daley in July, 1869.
Besides the husband the following children survive the deceased, all of whom were present when death came: Mrs. M.W. Kern, Mrs. C.W. O’Laughlin, Mrs. A.J. Smith, MR. J.A. and Master Vincent Daley, all of whom reside in El Reno.
The funeral arrangements will be made today.

A SUDDEN DEATH.

Stricken With Paralysis Mrs. Lawrence Daily Suddenly Passed Away – Family All Present.
The announcement this forenoon that Mrs. Lawrence Daley had suddenly died was a serious shock to the entire community, because only yesterday many of her friends had met her in apparent good heatlh and no evidence of illness.
At 10:30 this morning the family were all visiting together at the Daily residence, and a daughter, Mrs. O’Laughlin, who last night returned from Buffalo, New York, was cheerfully giving account of the friends and relatives in the east when suddenly the mother was noticeably ill and before a physician could reach her, the bright spirit had winged its way to the eternal home. Thus it is in the realities of life we are weak and dependent mortals in the midst of our greatest strength.
The maiden name of the deceased was Sarah Jane Burgoon, she was born in Corsuca, Jefferson county, Pennsylvania, her early life was passed upon a farm and July 11th, 1869, she was married to Mr. Lawrence Daily who survives her. Of the Burgoon family, there were six girls and two boys, four of the girls are still living and the two brothers. Sister M. Rose, O.S.B., at St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania, died several years ago, she has one relative still at St. Mary’s, sister M. DeSales, her other sisters are Mrs. James Daily, Mrs. C.P. O’Laughlin, Mrs. James Kerr and her brothers are Messrs. Bernard and Sylvester Burgoon.
Beside the stricken husband the following bereaved children survive the deceased, all of whom were at her bedside when the summons came. Mrs. M.W. Kern, Mrs. C.W. O’Laughlin, Mrs. A.J. Smith, Mr. J.A. Daily and Master Vincent Daily all of whom reside in El Reno.
The deceased came here with her family about three years ago and has endeared herself to every acquaintance by her kindly Christian association with all. She was a faithful member of the Catholic church and in practical life lived up to the ideals of true Christian duty.
The funeral arrangements have not yet been made, the date will be announced later.
In this bereavement Father Dailey and the sorely stricken children have the deep sympathy of the entire community.

At Rest.
The funeral of Mrs. Lawrence Daley took place from the Catholic church Sunday morning at 10:30 o’clock, Father Constantine officiating. The church was filled to overflowing with relatives and friends of the deceased, the Benevolent Order of Elks attending in a body.
Requiem High Mass was said and Father Constantine delivered a very touching and impressive sermon. The hymns “Lead Kindly Light” and “Nearer My God to Thee” were beautifully rendered.
The remains were laid to rest in the El Reno cemetery.
