John3 died at the age of 42, and the will, executed in July, 1703, about six months before his death, is preserved in the Probate Ofiice at Salem, bearing in good plain characters the signature of the testator, and, as witnesses, the father and mother John and Sarah, and Thomas Fisk the father-in-law.

Note N1033 Merna Bennet supplied the last name for Sarah from the American Ancestry Vol 7 pg 247 under the name of Dodge. Author's name is Munzel John Dodge, son of Richard and Edith, was baptized in East Coker, Somersetshire, England, Dec. 29, 1631. He married Sarah, by whom he had four sons and four daughters. John Dodge died in Beverly, Mass., Oct. 11, 1711, 'aged about eighty years;" and his wife died in Beverly, Feb. 8, 1706, aged sixty years. John Dodge and his family lived in that part of Beverly, Mass., which was later annexed to Wenham, Mass.
