"The following is the notice of Sarah Farmar's marriage, from Rivington, New York, Gazette, Thursday, February 16, 1775:
""Saturday Night last was Married at Trinity Church by the Reverend Dr. Auchtmuty, Alexander Ross, Esq., of Middlesex County, New Jersey, to Miss Sallie Farmar, sister to Christopher Billopp, Esq., member of the Honorable House of Assembly, for Richmond County." Their descendants are now living in New York."

"The youngest, Sarah, who was celebrated for her beauty, married Dr. Alexander Ross of New Brunswick (originally from Jamaica); but the physician could not cure himself, and died; his widow having a liking for the profession, removed to New York and married a Dr. Howard of the British army, and left children."

"Sarah Farmer, daughter of Thomas and Sarah (Leonard) Billopp. Her father changed his surname to qualify for an inheritance. She married 2nd Dr. Charles A. Howard and died in 1796 at Shrewsbury, New Jersey."

"1796, April 15. Howard, Sarah, of the City of Perth Amboy, Middlesex Co., widow of the late Charles Abraham Howard, of Ross Hall, dec'd; will of. Son, Abraham, gold watch and seals, when 21. Daughter, Henrietta Howard, gold rings, trinkets and table set of burnt china. Remainder of estate, real and personal, to be sold, and monies used for the support of children, i.e., Abraham, Henrietta, Langford and Howard; then to be equally divided when youngest is 21. Executors - brother, Thomas Farmar, sister, Rachel Goelet, nephew, Henry Seaman and nephew, Thomas Billopp Goelet, together with the 4 children. Witnesses - Sarah Goelet, Thomas Marsh and Joseph Taylor. Proved May 10, 1796. Lib. 36, p.51; File 8855-8858L."
