Sarah C Field was born on February 11, 1830, in Florida, United States of America.
Eufaula City was a major supply center for the Confederate army and was involved in the naval component of the Confederate war effort. Eufaula's strategic position on the Chattahoochee River allowed the city to construct at least one ironclad warship. The CSA also operated a military hospital in Eufaula. Henry's wife left Alabama to her family in Arkansas feeling it would be safer for her and her young son. Although, their young son, passed away in 1861 in Arkansas.
Sarah married Henry Hill Field, Jr. on November 3, 1853, in Barbour, Alabama, USA. Together they had the following children:
Henry Colin Field.
She died on June 13, 1914, in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama, US, and was buried in Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama, United States of America.
