Lititz Express (Lititz, Pa.), May 4, 1917, p.1: "Mrs. William Gable Mrs. Sarah Gable, wife of William S. Gable, of Millport, died at 7 o'clock on Saturday evening. She was 72 years old and death was due to a complication of diseases. She was a native of near Mechanicsburg and her maiden name was Haldeman. Her husband, a son, Frank H. of Millport, and a daughter, Mrs. Edwin [sic-Edward] Leeking of Rothsville, survive. The funeral was held on Tuesday morning, with services at the house at 9 o'clock and in the Rothsville Church at 9:30 o'clock. Rev. F. A. Weicksel officiated."
