Know all men by their Presents the We John Garrard & Worham Glenn of the County of Orange State of North Carolina are held & firmly bound into His Excellency Thomas Burke Esq. Governor & his Successers, in the sum of five hundred Pounds, Specie, to which payment will & truly to be made We bind ourselves our Heirs Ers: & Admrs: jointly & severably & only by their Presents Seald with our Seals & Dated this 12th Day of March 1782 .

We Condition of the above Obligation is such that if there shall not hereafter appear any lawful cause or Obstruction why John Garrard & Sarah Glenn of the County aforesaid, may not be joined together in Matrimony, then the above Obligation to be void else to remain in force.
