Winton Resident is Called By Death

MERCED, Aug. 22 - Mrs. Sarah Hoeppner, 73, of Winton died in the general hospital here yesterday after a short illness.

Mrs. Hoeppner was born in Russia, had lived in this state for sixty six years and in the Winton area for the past twenty eight years. She was the widow of Jacob Hoeppner.

She leaves a son, Edward, of Winton, a brother, George P. Toews of Hillsboro, Kans., and six stepchildren, Mrs. Agnes Hiebert, Mrs. Margaret Hiebert, Mrs. Anna Dyck, D. R. Hoeppner, all of Hillsboro, Mrs. Lydia Wedell of Winton, and Mrs. Jacob R. Hoeppner of Livingston.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Church of God in Christ at Winton. Rev. A. F. Koehn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Winton Cemetery. The Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
