Sarah was baptised in St Werburgh Hoo Kent 24th June 1810 parents- Joseph Angel - Mary
Sarah Hoare (nee Angel) was a passenger on the first colonising fleet to South Australia. She gave birth to the first white male ‘settler’ on the South Australian mainland in Nov 1836.
My 3 and 4 time great grandfathers carried her ashore to a tent to give birth. Elizabeth was only two when they set sail on the Cygnet.
Elizabeth’s father was James, and her parents appear to separate in the early 1850,s. Sarah later married Herman Honey and James married Martha Webb in 1854.
Sarah left James and proceeded with friends to the Victorian goldfields where she met Herman Honey. It is believed they had further family. James and Sarah never divorced. Both are buried in Campbells Creek cemetery, Castlemaine.
Elizabeth then had many more siblings.
