Sarah Bache Hodge (1798-1849) was the wife of Rev. Charles Hodge. She was also the daughter of William Bache and Catherine Wistar Bache, and the great-granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin. Sarah Bache married the Presbyterian theologian Charles Hodge in 1822. Two of the Hodge's eight children followed their father in becoming professors at Princeton Theological Seminary.

Her stone reads, "She lived in love and died in faith; truthful woman, delightful companion, ardent friend." Some of her family's papers are in a special collection at the Princeton University Library.
