John McKinnon (Ur) was a nephew of John McKinnon (Shoemaker). He was a stone mason. When he came from Barra, he settled at Washabuck and married Mary, daughter Murdock McKinnon (Finlay). Issue: — Neil and Mary.

After the death of his first wife, John McKinnon (Ur) moved to Benacadie Glen. His second wife was Mary, daughter of Neil McNeil (Big), Shenacadie. Issue: — Mary, Sarah, John, Michael, and Joseph.

Sarah married James McNeil (Rory Beag).

Rory McNeil (Beag) was a son of John McNeil (Archie). He settled at Benacadie and married Elizabeth, daughter of Donald McNeil (Big).

• John Rory went to the war and did his bit for king and country.
