About Sarah Letitia Mathews
Updated 3/16/2018(CLM): http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=11479377All that I know is Sarah was not a very nice person and tried to cause Granny problems. As she was being taken to the hospital she wrote "I love Audrey". She is buried in the Church of Christ Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Polk Co, FL in the Mathews' Family Plot. Sarah once told a story about living during Reconstruction. Union solders would walk on the sidewalk and force women off to walk in mud.At the time women wore long dresses and the hems would get caked with mud on them. The boots the ladies wore would sink into the mud , and the Union Soldiers would laugh at how the ladies would struggle.
