Sarah Higgins was born on 18 October 1690 at Eastham. She was the daughter of Jonathan Higgins and Hannah Rogers.

Sarah Higgins married William Mitchell, son of William Mitchell and Mercy Nickerson, on 10 April 1717 at Eastham. Her married name was Mitchell.

Sarah Higgins died after 1741.

Biography

Sarah Higgins was born on 18 October 1690 in Eastham, Barnstable County, (then) Plymouth Colony, the daughter of Jonathan and Hannah (Rogers) Higgins.[1][2][3]

She married William Mitchell of Chatham, as his second wife, in Eastham on 10 April 1717.[4] He was born ca. 1691, the son of William and Mercy (Nickerson) Mitchell. His first wife was Tabitha Eldredge whom he married at Chatham on 19 March 1712/3.[3]

In 1753, William "Mitcell" of Dartmouth sold 17 acres in Dartmouth to Jethro Jenney, the southeast corner of William's homestead. in 1767 William Mitchell of Dartmouth, yeoman, sold land to his grandson David Mitchell of Dartmouth, laborer, "son of my son William." The deed was acknowledged by William on 03 December 1767.[3]

Sarah died after 1741 (birth of last child), and William died after 8 December 1767. William and Sarah left no probate records in Barnstable or Bristol counties.[3]
