Sarah Mocatta (Salinger) was born in 1857 and died in 1956.

Her parents were Sarah, first wife of Morris Salinger.

Sarah Mocatta was married to Charles A. Mocatta in 1886, an unsuccessful stockbroker. Their children were:

• b 1 Ethel Grace Mocatta 1888-1983, married to Edward Theomin
• b 2 Frederick Elias Mocatta 1890 - 1919, unmarried

Charles was the son of Abraham Mocatta of London (1831-1900) Charles' brother was Edward Lumbroso Mocatta (1865-1934) Abraham Mocatta was named after his father who died in 1830. The senior Abraham's sister, Esther, was the wife of Sir Moses Montefiore.
