SUGARCREEK -- Sarah (Mullet) Troyer, 91, of Smokey Lane Road, Sugarcreek, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, after a brief stay at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Tuscarawas County to the late Ervin J. and Mattie (Schlabach) Mullet, and married Joni A. Troyer on Feb. 6, 1947. He died Sept. 6, 2004.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Amish Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Elsie (Glenn) Coblentz of Walnut Creek, Erma (Mose) Miller of Sugarcreek and Kathryn (Leroy) Miller of Forest; 15 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; sisters, Minerva (Alvin) Troyer of Sugarcreek and Anna (Henry) Troyer of Strasburg; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Jonas) Mullet and Mattie (Mahlon) Mullet; stepsisters, Clara Yoder and Sara (Dan) Troyer; and a stepbrother, Clarence (Barbara) Yoder.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by grandchildren, Bryce Erb and Laura Miller; her parents; sisters, Mary Hershberger and Clara Barkman; brothers, Jonas Mullet and Mahlon Mullet; and stepbrothers, Henry, Joas and Ray Yoder.
Memorial services will be Saturday, Feb. 18 at 9:30 a.m. at Maranatha Fellowship Church, 941 State Route 93, Sugarcreek, with Bishop Robert A. Troyer officiating. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery near Sugarcreek. Friends may call Friday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Maranatha Fellowship Church. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
