City Gazette and Commercial Daily Advertiser Friday Morning, December 22, 1820 Vol. XL., NO. 18,222 Page 2 OBITUARY. Died at her residence in Marion District, on Saturday, the 9th inst. In the 74th year of her age, Mrs. SARAH MUNNERLYN, the amiable consort of Mr. John Munnerlyn, of that District. This Amiable Lady had fulfilled the various relations of life with exemplary tenderness and interest-and was enabled to see a large progeny rise up around her, attain to ease and usefulness in life, previous to her removal from time. The poor in her neighborhood, and the afflicted of every class, bemoan her departure as the loss of their best friend-while her numerous offspring console themselves with the comfortable assurance that their loss is her gain. In her death, the (Methodist) Church has sustained the loss of a bright and shining light, her husband that of a most affectionate companion, and her children, one who was, if possible, more than a mother. Her last hours were just such as are inseparable from the life of a sincere follower of our Lord, and such as to prevent a doubt of her future happiness.
