Sarah "Sally" Poland

Marriage: Sinking Creek Baptist Church, Washington Co., Tn.

1. Sarah's birth date has also been reported as 1795, but that would make her 15 when she married.

2. The 1870 census appears to indicate that she was born in 1785 or 1786. Helen Moore Poland, a descendant-in-law who is probably the foremost authority on the Poland/Crouch family, lists Sarah's birth date as 1789.

3. 1850 census Owen Co., Ky. (Microfilm Roll #216 list Jacob & Sarah (Crouch) Poland (lists other Crouches but not William).

4. 1870 census Gallatin Co., Ky. lists Sarah (Crouch) Poland ae 84 with younger Polands and younger Crouches in same listing.

5. William Crouch & Reuben Poland; mortgage of personal and farm property in Owen Co., Ky.

6. Moved to Gallatin Co., Ky. on Sugar Creek 1834.
