An older version (the first) of the Mayflower Families book (1:26) on Francis Eaton says she was Sarah Alverson, prob. dau. of Nicholas. TheLDS archives say Sarah was born 5 March 1682. The reference is "Family Bible - Dorothy Munson.” Van Antwerp, Lee Douglas and Robert S. Wakefield, Mayflower Families Through Five Generations : Volume 9, Francis Eaton, (Plymouth:GSMD, 1996), Vol. 9, p 30, 31
However this is a footnote to more recent Mayflower Families Volumes. and the current volume says Thomas Ramsdell m. at Scituate 23 Mar 1702/3 Sarah _____ This is verified by the Vital Records of Scituate and Duxbury that do not give the wife a surname. Vitalrecords of Scituate, Massachusetts, to the year 1850. (Boston, Mass. : Published by the New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1909) p.243 "Thomas of Duborow, and Sarah ____, Mar. 22, 170[2-3]"
Thomas' wife Sarah (_____) Ramsdell died in Hanover, 4 Aug 1773, ae 91, and was buried in the Center Cemetery in Hanover. Briggs, L. Vernon. History and records of the First Congregational church, Hanover, Mass., 1727-1865, and inscriptions from the headstones and tombs in the cemetery at Centre Hanover, Mass., 1727-1894.
