Anecdote 16 December 1667 On 16 Dec 1667, Thomas Riley and Sara Webb, both servants to John Lewis, were presented by the grand jury and summoned to the next court. On the 17th of February, Thomas Ryley was fined 500 lbs tobacco for committing fornication with Sara Webb, who was found guilty of bastardy. Evidently Thomas married the mother of his child once they were free of servitude, and she was the wife Sarah mentioned in his will.1

Will of Thomas RILEY-
Accomack Co. VA Aug.1, 1696 proven 6-1-1697."
"To my wife, Sarah, son, Thomas Riley, plantation 300 A., where I now live." ....... then goes on to state."

and grandson James Truitt II, his daughters, Elizabeth, SARAH, Margaret G. Son Thomas Lilliston....."
next paragraph "James Truitt I Will.

After the death of Mary Riley-Truitt he married Sarah. He made his Will in Somreset Co MD. dated.3-18-1715=

proved May 30, 1718."
III Ancestor James Truitt II, son of James Truitt I and Mary Riley-Truitt. Born before Aug. 1 1696."
It goes on to give info on the "Will of James Truitt II dated oct. 17, 1770 proved July 25, 1775 names land called: Late at Night and Truitt's Adventure."

According to this family history book Sarah was his 2nd wife after Mary, Sarah's sister died.
