Thomas Root, son of Caleb (2808), grandson of John (2800), b. Jan. 16, 1702; m. Feb. 15, 1727, Sarah Dudley of Saybrook. He lived at Kensington, in the locality known as the Blue Hills. This is in the south part of Kensington, towards Meriden, called formerly on the Farmington records Blow Mountain. The five sons all lived on farms located on one street. He d. May 13, 1789, x. 87. She d. Dec. 31, 1784, x. 85.
