Joseph Ringer's son Michael died in 1830 some time after the census was taken and before Nov. 30, 1830 when a bond was posted in Somerset County, Pa against his estate by James Boardman and William Silbaugh. James Boardman was Michael's father-in-law, he was married to Rebecca Boardman James's daughter. On Dec 12, 1832 James Boardman filed a court decree to sell Michael's land (104 acres) to paid his debts. On Dec 3, 1832 James Boardman filed a petition in Somerset County to become the guardian of Michael's minor children, James, Adam, Sarah, William and Lavinia. When James Boardman died in Somerset County in 1849, Rebecca Ringer was listed as his daughter. When William Ringer died in Mercer County, Rebecca Boardman was listed as his mother. Hope this helps you. I have not been able to find out where Joseph Ringer came from. If you have any information about that I would appreciate it.
