Biography
Sarah Snow was born in February 1674, modern-style date or 1673/74 old-style. Old-style calendar dates (until 1755 in many cases) were vague for January through March dates as, under the old system, the New Year began on March 25, not January 1. Sarah's parentage has also been contested but the preponderance of evidence says she was the "very likely" the daughter of Jabez Snow and his wife, Elizabeth (Smith) Snow. She was born in Eastham on Massachusetts' Cape Cod (Barnstable County).[1]
Sarah married Henry Young in about 1694 when she was 20 years old. They had 5 children together before Henry's untimely death on April 26, 1706.[2]

He was the son of Captain Jonathan Sparrow, a colony official, and a recent widower with 6 under-age children of his own. He and Sarah settled near a cove, called by the Indians "Kescayogansett," in Orleans, Barnstable Co. (Cape Cod), Massachusetts.[3]
Sarah and Jonathan Sparrow Jr had two more children together:[4]
Sarah Sparrow b: ca. 1708 in Eastham, Barnstable, Mass. Jabez Sparrow b: 1712 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Sarah and Jonathan Sparrow lived relatively long and prosperous lives in their second marriages. Jonathan Sparrow Jr., died on March 9, 1740, at home in Orleans, Massachusetts; his wife Sarah survived him and died on November 28, 1746 at the family home near the town of Orleans, on "old Cape Cod," in the British province of Massachusetts Bay, New England.
The will of Jonathan Sparrow [Jr.] of Eastham, dated 25 Nov. 1737 and proved 19 March 1740, mentioned wife "Serah" [Sarah] (executrix); sons Jonathan (executor), Joseph, John and Jabez; grandson Joshua Hurd; granddau.
