About Sarah "Sally" Tharp
Sarah ______married Nathan Tharp in 1804 in Virginia at the age of 14. She bore him six children, five sons and a daughter named Mariah. After his death in August of 1814, she became a widow at the age of 24 and continued to live in Logan County, Ohio for many years, raising her six children. When her father-in-law, Solomon Tharp and several of his children left for Cass County, Michigan in 1842, Sally and some of her children went with them. Sally died a few years later and she is buried in the Reams-Norton Cemetery.
