The vital records of Newbury show a death of Sarah Toppan, "w. Jacob, jr." on 23 Aug 1712. There is no death record for the wife or widow of Peter.
Jacob m. "Sarah Kent", i.e., not Sarah Greenleaf. He remarried again in 1715, confirming that it was his wife that died in 1712. There is no remarriage of Peter shown in the vital records. Various Toppan genealogies do not give a death date for Peter's wife.
