About Scott Field
CALVERT, Texas, Dec. 20---Scott Field, 85, former Congressman, died Sunday at Calvert. He was prosecuting attorney for Robertson County for two terms, a member of the State Senate for two terms, delegate to the national Democratic convention in 1892 and representative from Texas to Congress in 1903 to 1907. He was born in Canton, Madison County, Miss., and attended the University of Virginia. He was admitted to the bar in Mississippi in 1872 and moved to Texas soon after and practiced until 1913. Funeral services will be held Monday at the home with the Rev. J. B. Gleisner officiating. He is survived by three sons, Tom, Scott, and Eugene.
