About Sean Schutte
Sean Schutte (1975 - 2011)
Brief overview:
Sean (36), a manager at a farm - Alpha Estate owned by Bernard Amm - near Witsieshoek, close to the Lesotho border was shot dead on 1st November 2011. Sean was shot in the heart when he and his brother, Louis (33), confronted two intruders. Louis, trying to save his brother, was shot three times in the upper body. The Schutte brothers, both farm managers, had followed the men to the river where one of them took out the pistol and fired shots. The attackers fled to neighbouring Lesotho. Seriously wounded Louis was taken by air-ambulance to Mediclinic, Bloemfontein, accompanied by his wife Roné.

Additional Biographical Information:
Miss Roline Pretorius, a long time friend of the Schutte brothers and their family, said it is a tremendous shock for the whole community. Sean graduated Agricultural High School in Jacobsdal. "He was at his happiest on a horse. He was mad about outdoor living and his two children."
