About Seth Huse Montgomery
He was a son of James C. Montgomery and Bridget Seth Rice Huse Montgomery. He married Ella Lykins.
Seth H. Montgomery was a merchant. In 1879, he opened a store in Montgomery, the city founded by his father and incorporated by brother, John C., who was later mayor. Seth H. helped organize the Montgomery National Bank in 1901 and served as its president for many years.
He died a few weeks after being "accidentally tackled crossing a football field" at 81 years of age.
