GULF SHORES - Graveside services for S. Gordon Persons Jr., 75, of Gulf Shores will be 11 a.m. today at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery with Rev. James I. Walter officiating and Brooks-Cargile Funeral Home of Montgomery in charge.
Mr. Persons died Wednesday in Montgomery.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Persons of Montgomery; a son, S. Gordon Persons III of Montgomery; a sister, Elizabeth Persons Killingsworth of Southern Shores, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Seth Gordon Persons IV and Ashlyn Ruth Persons.
Mr. Persons was a Montgomery native. He was preceded in death by his parents, former governor Gordon Persons, formerly of Anniston, and Alice McKeithen Persons.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Montgomery Humane Society or a charity of choice.
