About Sexwal Ansgarius Alfredson

Sexval immigrated to the USA in 1911. His highest level of education was 8th grade. The manifest of the ship on which his brother Knut arrived in New York in 1912 listed their destination as Cleveland (Euclid), Ohio (perhaps Sexval was living there?. ) From at least 1929 until 1940 Saxwall was listed as a florist/grower at Merriam Park Floral Company (Merriam Park Floral and Gift Company, 2250 University Avenue, St. Paul, 1960, lost to freeway construction.) and residing in Minneapolis. His salary in 1940 was $1,400 and he was renting an apartment a 1701 Stevens Ave. By that time he was going by Saxwell in the St. Paul City Directory but his death certificate was spelled Sexwall.

He, Schubert and Knute were the three brothers who immigrated to the USA. Upon Sexval's death, his second partner wrote Thelma and Oscar Burgerson to ask if they wanted Sexval's house and furniture in Minneapolis on Park Ave since they were the nearest relatives. They declined indicating that it should go to his divorced wife.
