Shadrack Collier

Shadrach and Aaron Collier, Sr. were almost certainly brothers. This can be ascertained from their proximity in Montgomery, Grayson, and Lee Counties; the ages of their oldest children; and names of their children. They were not sons of John Collier and Sisily (Hall) Collier of Augusta County, Virginia. Their children moved to Kentucky soon after their father's will was probated in 1765. Both Aaron Colliers served in the Revolution, but in different units.

Shadrack Collier Sr.'s apparent wife, Rhoda, sued him in 1807. He then left Rhoda and her sons, Henry and Peyton, in Grayson County and appears in Lee County starting in 1810.
