Obituary

With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce his sudden passing on Friday, December 25, 2015 in his 84th year surrounded by his loving family, at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville. Devoted and loving husband of Jean Evelyn (Shepherd) for almost 60 years. Loving father to Jeffery Blaine (Karen), Lee Andrew (Mary) and Sarah Elizabeth (Dan). Loving grandfather and Dabby to Stephanie Michelle, Justin Andrew and Sierra Elizabeth Irene. Survived by brothers Glen (Muriel), and David (Jeannette). Also survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Meadows, Doris (Bill) Henderson, Donna (Lorne) Sorge, and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by parents Elmer and Hazel (Lane), brothers Keith (Emma) and Carl. Special thanks to Dr. Reza Kazemi for his care and compassion. Also, to the nurses at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital. Friends will be received at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Sweets Corners Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
