Shelley Rudman represented Team GB in her second Olympic Winter Games at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, where she finished sixth in the women's skeleton.
As Britain's only medallist at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin (silver), Rudman carried the Union Flag for Team GB at the Vancouver Opening Ceremony.
In between the 2 Olympic Games Rudmanhad daughter Ella-Marie - with fiancé and fellow Team GB skeleton athlete Kristan Bromley.
Rudman has had a consistent 2013/14 season. She is currently the 3rd ranked athlete in the World and claimed a podium finish with bronze in St Moritz. One of her favourite tracks, Rudman won the World Championships there in 2013.
Other highlights of her glittering career in the sport include becoming two time European Champion and the overall World Cup Champion in 2011/2012 after 4 podium finishes – and coming second in the overall rankings in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010.
Rudman also posted a record breaking 6 podium finishes in the 2010/2011 season – matching at the time the season best from Alex Coomber, GB’s skeleton bronze medallist from Salt Lake City 2002.
