About Shepard Coleman
Died May 12 in Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ. Born Brooklyn April 23, 1924. He had acted as conductor and/or musical director for Hello Dolly Tony 1964, Bye-Bye Birdie Mama, Golden Boy, Henry Sweet Henry, Oh what a lovely War and The Student Gypsy. He held positions in the NY Philharmonic, WQXR, and WMCA in New York City. Mr. Coleman trained at Juilliard and recently taught and worked for local theatre groups in Orange County, NY. He is survived by a sister Diana Hoffman and a brother Avron both of Manhattan. A private funeral was previously held. A memorial service is planned for June in Warwick.
