SPRINGFIELD — A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Springfield Memorial Gardens for Sidney B. Clark Jr. of Springfield, who died June 9 of age-related causes. He was 80. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Kim, Colo., to Sidney and Annie Langston Clark. He married Betty Jean Moser on May 29, 1949, in Elko, Nev.

Clark served in the Marines in China in 1945-46. He worked in oil fields in Texas, worked for a family bakery in Bend and drove tanker trucks for Darigold in Eugene and Bend.

Survivors include two sons, Sidney III of Grants Pass and Gary of Utah; a daughter, Michelle Clark of Las Vegas; two brothers, Carroll of Moab, Utah, and Howard of Roswell, N.M.; three sisters, Ruth Naylor of Salt Lake City, Helen Felkins of Monticello, Utah, and Marguerite Reid of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His wife died June 26, 2000, and a son, Bobby, died previously.
