About Sidney Smith McClellan
From "Revolutionary Soldiers of Franklin County: pg 165. Capt John McClelland of Montgomery Twp, born 1732, died 12 Dec 1817, married Sidney Smith Roddy (1734-20 Aug 1818) daughter of James Roddy. John and Sidney are buried on a farm which they owned, now (1938) owned by Leslie Hyssong, near Upton. Capt John and Sidney had issue: Dr John McClellan (1762-1846) who married Eleanor McCulloh, Jane McClellan who married Joseph Grubb in 1798, James McClellan who married Mary Irwin, Alexander McClellan died unmarried, William McClellan who married Agnes Dunwoody, and Ruth McClellan who married Robert Galbreath.
