"Simen Lienlokken was born in Øyerier parish, Gudbrandsdalen, Norway, May 11, 1843, the son of Engebret Jenssen Lienløkken and Anne Jacobsdatter Lienløkken."

"He emigrated to America May 15, 1860, with his parents, brothers and sisters, and settled in Coon Valley on Section 32 in Town of Washington, La Crosse County, the same year, where he owned 120 Acres."

"He was married to Anne Huden, but no children were born to them. His wife, Anne Huden, died in Lower Coon Valley, Wis., June 24, 1875."

"Simen Lienløkken served in the Civil War in 1865. While doing guard duty, a bullet grazed his cheek."

"Simon Lienløkken and his wife moved to California in 1870, where Simen died March 28, 1872. His wife returned to Coon Valley soon after his death."

Age 21. Unmarried. Blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion, 5’9". Enlisted for one year on 30 Sep 1864 at La Crosse, Wisconsin, and mustered there the same day. Bounty $100, $33.33 paid. Private. Mustered out 5 Jul 1865.
