Simon Bosch a son of Simon and Theresa (Braulich) Bosch, was born June 4, 1915 at Linton, North Dakota.
He graduated from Halliday High School in 1933. Shorty married Mary Hurley August 23, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He and his family moved to Halliday, North Dakota, where he owned and operated Bosch Meat Company until he retired in 1987.
He is survived by his wife and four daughters and three sons-in-law, Mary E Bauman, Spring Park, Minnesota; Julie and Grant Hoffner, Fargo, North Dakota; Patty and Bob Jenks, Yankton, South Dakota; and Kathy and J.S. Williams, Oak Ridge, Tennessee. One son and two daughters-in-law, Mike and LaVonne, Black Hawk, South Dakota; and Marian Bosch.
Also 12 grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
He is also survived by one brother Joe, Bismarck, North Dakota; and two sisters, Clem Schwartz, Bismarck, North Dakota and Mary Mudd, Tacoma, Washington.
Shorty was preceded in death by his parents; his son John; one brother, Pete; and one sister, Madieine Voigt.
