SIMON & JULIA LANDOWSKI, BARTO TOWNSHIP, ROSEAU CO, MN

Simon Landowski was born in Poland 14 November 1862, the son of John and Frances CZAPEHSKIE Landowski.

He was married in Poland in 1890 to Julia OSOWSKI, daughter of Mike and Susian KOBUS Osowski, who was born at Gorki, Poland in 1867.

A year after their marriage they immigrated to America and settled in Warsaw, North Dakota area for 3 years. Fra there they moved to their farm in Barto Township where they resided for the rest of their lives.

The Landowski's were the parents of 12 children:

Laura Landowski EFTA Martha Landowski WOITAS Barney Landowski Benjamin Landowski Emelia Landowski GONSHOROWSKI Frances Landowski PUTZ Harry Landowski Helen Landowski WYNOSOWICZ

and four children who died as infants: John, Walter, Augusta and Sylvester

Simon and Julia were life long members of St Aloysius Catholic Church at Leo. Mrs Landowski died 23 Sept 1930 and Mr Landowski died 18 Nov 1933.
