Kjell Lindblom har med en Simon le Brun i sin bok, Vallonsläkter under 1600-talet, del 1, sid 106, under släkten le Brun. Jag citerar ordagrant vad Lindblom har skrivit om Simon.

Simon le Brun kommer 22/5 1632 från Liège över Amsterdam till Österby. I Norrköpings journal kallas han detta år, Simon Bernon, tailleur, dvs skogshuggare. Han utbildas dock till smältare och arbetar i Leufsta 1639-40, i Åkerby 1643-44 och i Hillebola från 1654 till sin död 1666. Förmodligen finns han vid Åkerby-Hillebola även under mellantiden 1645-53. Han gifter sig ca 1643 med Jeanne Clasdotter.
