Simon Wels alias Simon Wedeles ( April 20, 1853 - November 1, 1922 ) [1] became famous as a writer. He was a merchant and came from a Jewish family from Osek near Rokycany .

His most famous work is the autobiographical book U Bernatů . It was published in the Czech Republic in 1987 as a samizdat , in 1993 in the Torst publishing house and in 2011 in the Triáda publishing house with the modified name U Bernatů .

Šimon Wels moved to Rokycany around 1914 , where he lived at No. 248. He died on November 1, 1922 in Rokycany . The cremation (a modern affair at the time) took place in Prague . The urn was placed in the common burial ground of H1 Olšany cemeteries.
